To remove a digital certificate from your address book

Installing your own certificate & Security
Settings
- Choose
Tools in Outlook menu bar
- Choose
Options'
- Choose
the Security tab
To
define your security settings and to specify which certificate you wish to use
you need to define your default security settings. To do so you need to click
the Change Settings button.
The
screen that you will see, on clicking security settings, will help you choose:
- The
certificate you want to use for signing messages
- The
certificate you want to use for encrypting e-mails
- Hashing
algorithm.
Click
Choose against signing certificate and choose certificate you want to use
for signing messages (To view certificate click View Certificate button).
Click
Choose against encryption certificate and choose the certificate you want
to use for encrypting e-mail messages and attachments.
You
can create different security settings and give these separate names to be used
for different purposes.
The
Digital Signature settings section also allows you to define which
type of hashing algorithm you want to use for the creation of your signatures
(SHA-1, or MD5)

Digitally Signing E-mail
Messages
The
process of digitally signing your email requires the use of your private key
embedded in your certificate. MS
outlook allows you two ways to configure signing of your messages:
a)
Every time you send an e-mail (compose, reply to or forward a message)
b)
Only when you ask for it by clicking on the sign button.
Digitally Signing all
outgoing Messages
1.Choose
Tools in Outlook menu bar
2.Choose Options'
3.Choose the Security tab
Choose
Add digital signatures to outgoing messages and click OK. This will cause all outgoing messages to be digitally
signed.
Digitally Signing Individual E-mail Messages
To
sign your e-mail messages individually, click the Options
button
after opening the e-mail window:
Choose
Add digital signature to outgoing message.

Encrypting e-mail messages with Outlook
The
process of encrypting messages so that only the recipient can decrypt them,
requires the use of the recipient's certificate (containing his or her public
key) in your address book. To get the recipient's certificate you can ask him to
send you a signed e-mail first (which will contain certificate and his or
her public key), or you can find the certificate online from Comtrust public
directory (please refer to LDAP procedure.
You
can encrypt your messages individually each time you want to send an encrypted
message, or you can configure security options so that your messages will be
automatically encrypted every time the recipients digital certificate is
available in your address book. This is done by following the instructions
similar to Digital Signature but with selecting the encryption options
instead of signing option.
4.
Saving Digital Certificates from signed message.
When
you receive a signed encrypted message, you can save the digital certificate of
that person in your address book. You first need to click on the signed icon
This
will give you a screen with you more information about the certificate that was
used for signing the email in se.
1) Click the View
Certificate
button and you will be able to see the certificate.
2) Click on the Details
tab to go the next screen:
3) At this point clicking the Copy
to File
will store the
certificate to a file that you can import by following the instruction on
importing a downloaded digital certificate.
5.
Save a digital certificate from an encrypted message.
When
you receive a signed encrypted message, you can save the digital certificate of
that person in your address book. You first need to click on the signed icon
From
the screen that follows, click on the Encryption
Certificate
to open
the View
Certificate
window described in the previous section. Follow the same instructions to
save the certificate to a file to be imported in the address book.
6. Importing a downloaded digital certificate.
To import digital certificates:
- Create
in Outlook a new address or open an existing one in your address book
- Choose
Certificate or Digital IDs
- Choose
import
- Select
the downloaded file with the digital certificate and choose open
7. To remove a digital certificate from your address book:
- Open
the address of the person whose digital certificate you want to remove.
- Choose
Certificate or Digital
IDs
- Select
the certificate you want to Delete
- Click on remove
